1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing AssertionHub ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

AssertionHub is an automated analytics quality assurance platform that:

  • Performs automated audits of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) configurations
  • Validates Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementations
  • Monitors tracking data quality and compliance
  • Generates automated reports and dashboards
  • Provides real-time alerts for tracking issues

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • One account per organization unless on an enterprise plan
  • You must be at least 16 years old

3.2 Account Credentials

  • Keep your password confidential
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account

3.3 Account Termination

You may close your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse our Service or harm other users

4. Google Service Integration

4.1 Authorization

By connecting Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager to AssertionHub, you grant us permission to:

  • Access your GA4 property data via the Google Analytics Admin API and Data API
  • Read your GTM container configurations via the Google Tag Manager API
  • Process this data to provide automated audits, compliance checks, and reporting

4.2 Your Responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the authority to grant AssertionHub access to your Google accounts
  • Your use of Google services complies with Google's Terms of Service
  • You own or have permission to access the websites and properties being audited
  • You will maintain compliance with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

4.3 Revocation of Access

You may revoke AssertionHub's access to your Google accounts at any time through your account settings or Google Account permissions page. Revoking access will disable related features but will not terminate your AssertionHub account.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

Prohibited Activities

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Record websites you don't own or have explicit permission to test - This includes competitors' websites, third-party platforms, or any site where you lack authorization
  • Record or capture login credentials, payment information, or sensitive personal data - Even if you own the website, do not record authentication flows with real credentials
  • Use the browser recorder for web scraping, data harvesting, or automated data collection - The recorder is for testing analytics implementations only
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or download data from the Service (beyond the browser recorder's intended use)
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited communications
  • Violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized users
  • Bypass rate limits, access controls, or security measures
  • Record websites containing illegal content or engage in illegal activities through the browser recorder

Browser Recorder - Your Responsibilities

When using the browser recording feature, you are responsible for:

  • Obtaining Permission: You must own the website or have explicit written permission from the website owner to record sessions
  • Privacy Compliance: Ensure your use complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws
  • Sensitive Data: Do not record real user credentials, payment details, or personally identifiable information
  • Test Data Only: Use test accounts and dummy data when recording authentication or payment flows
  • Third-Party Content: Respect terms of service of websites you record, including robots.txt and anti-scraping policies

Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your account
  • Deletion of all your recordings and data
  • Legal action for damages or injunctive relief
  • Reporting to law enforcement authorities
  • No refunds for any fees paid

5.5 Technical Safeguards and User Acknowledgment

Automated Protection Measures

AssertionHub implements technical measures to prevent misuse of the browser recorder, including:

  • Domain allowlisting (you must explicitly add domains before recording)
  • Rate limiting on recording sessions
  • Automated detection of suspicious activity
  • Session time limits to prevent extended unauthorized recording

User Acknowledgment

By using the browser recorder, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for determining whether you have the right to record a website
  • AssertionHub's safeguards do not constitute legal permission to record any website
  • You will not attempt to bypass or circumvent technical restrictions
  • You understand that unauthorized recording may violate civil and criminal laws
  • AssertionHub is not liable for any legal consequences of your use of the recorder

6. Subscription and Billing

6.1 Free Trial

  • Free trial period is subject to change
  • No credit card required during trial
  • Trial converts to paid plan only with your confirmation
  • One free trial per organization

6.2 Paid Plans

  • Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • All fees are in EUR unless otherwise stated
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • No refunds for partial months or unused features

6.3 Payment Terms

  • You authorize recurring charges to your payment method
  • Update payment information to avoid service interruption
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension
  • You're responsible for all taxes and fees

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until the subscription expires.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including all code, designs, algorithms, documentation, and branding, is owned by AssertionHub and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

7.2 Your Data

You retain all rights to your data, including your Google Analytics and Tag Manager configurations. You grant us a license to process this data solely to provide the Service.

7.3 Audit Reports

Audit reports and recommendations generated by AssertionHub are your property. You may use, share, or export these reports as needed.

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

8.1 Service "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • 100% accurate audit results
  • Compatibility with all tracking implementations
  • Detection of all tracking issues

8.2 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any other third-party services. Changes to Google's APIs may affect our Service.

8.3 Professional Advice

AssertionHub provides automated analysis and recommendations. These do not constitute professional advice. You should consult with qualified professionals for critical decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASSERTIONHUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Errors in audit results or recommendations
  • Damages resulting from your use of third-party services

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AssertionHub from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Content you submit to the Service

11. Data Protection and Privacy

Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy . By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

We are GDPR compliant. If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you disagree with changes, you must stop using the Service.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiations.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AssertionHub regarding the Service.
